Our Campus

De La Salle High School is located in Northern California, in the city of Concord. We are part of a thriving and diverse community that is the largest in Contra Costa County, and the eighth largest in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our modest, yet well-equipped, campus is idyllically situated under the watchful gaze of beautiful Mt. Diablo.

All of our classrooms incorporate state-of-the-art technology. The shining jewel is our state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics center called the Steven M. '83 & Kellie J. Abreu STREAM Innovation Center, which was opened in 2016.

Our Joan M. Buhlman Library offers all types of informational material and literacies as well as access to three certified librarians and lots of comfortable workspaces for independent or group study. The unique Deborah and Paul Jansen Learning Center provides one-on-one tutoring, Study Skills classes, and extra time for test taking and homework assistance/study. At the same time, our 400-seat Brother Celestine Cormier, FSC Theatre is home to multiple performing arts productions throughout the year, and our music building functions as a practice facility for our award-winning jazz, concert, and marching bands.

Yet it is our Kenneth H. Hofmann Student Center that is the focal point of our campus. It not only serves as a gathering place for liturgies and student assemblies but is also home to our cafeteria, which serves fresh home-cooked meals daily (for breakfast, breaks, and lunch).

Our athletic facilities include a renovated gymnasium called the Tom and Norine Seeno Gymnasium, a locker room, a sophisticated weight room in the Bob Ladoucoeur Performance Center, and the Baldacci Family Hall of Fame Lobby. Outside, our athletic venues include a stadium with artificial turf that is used for a variety of sports programs and is called the Owen Owens Field; a track with shotput, high jump, long jump, and pole vault facilities; the Brother Jerome West, FSC Swimming Pool with diving boards; the Koch Baseball Diamond with a grass infield and outfield and an indoor batting cage; and a large, grass all-purpose practice field.

Lastly, there are numerous outdoor spaces around campus that have been designed to enhance the strong community bonds and sense of Brotherhood that is at the forefront of a De La Salle experience. These include the Main Quad, which is the site of intramural tournaments and other student activities, the Inner Court with its beautiful rose garden and various seating areas, the Adirondack chairs in the 400 Courtyard, and the tables and benches located in front of our STREAM Innovation Center. All provide an opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty on campus while solidifying relationships that will last a lifetime.
