Cross Country
Our Cross Country team has existed since the founding of the school. During that time, our team has been among the most successful in Northern California.
Football
Our football program is the stuff of legends. Our 151-game streak between 1992 and 2004 has inspired both books and movies. Today our Spartans continue to make records with 30 straight North Coast Section Championship wins.
Water Polo
Our water polo program has been winning championships since 1989. Most recently, the team secured its 17th overall league championship. It also brought home its second, and back-to-back, North Coast Section (NCS) Open Championship and its sixth league championship.
Winter Sports
Basketball
Our Basketball Program has competed on the state’s biggest stage. Since 1986, the Spartans have won 28 league championships, 14 NCS Championships, six NorCal Championships, and two State Championships.
Soccer
Our Soccer Program has a long tradition of athletic excellence. The varsity team has been very successful at the league level and has won the EBAL title in seven of the last 11 seasons. They have also earned a record 14 North Coast Section titles.
Wrestling
Since 2007, our Wrestling has been dominant at the league and section levels. Spartans have won 16 league championships, 15 NCS Dual titles, 13 NCS Team championships, and finished in the top 10 at the California State Meet five times.
Spring Sports
Baseball
Our baseball team has a longstanding tradition of excellence. Recently, it has enjoyed its most dominant stretch, winning six straight North Coast Section (NCS) Championships. It also won the inaugural CIF Division 1 NorCal Championships in 2022, as well as in 2023.
Golf
Our golf program has been one of our most successful athletic programs since 1990. The Spartans have secured 19 league championships, nine North Coast Section Championships, six Northern California championships, and three state championships. Two of those state championships came in the spring of 2022 and 2023.
Lacrosse
Founded in 2001 by De La Salle Hall of Fame Head Coach Robert O’Meara, our lacrosse program has been one of the premier lacrosse programs in Northern California. It has won nine league titles and seven NCS championships (including the last three).
Rugby
Our rugby team has won multiple league titles, 2 state titles, and finished the 2022 season as the #1 ranked high school rugby team in the entire country. As our program looks to enter its 20th season, we will continue to build on the values that guide us each and every year: Faith, Integrity, Perseverance, and Brotherhood.
Swimming & Diving
Our swimming & diving team has won 32 league championships and 7 NCS championships. DLS swimmers have also won several NCS individual and relay titles and set countless league (and a few NCS) records. Similarly, our divers have enjoyed remarkable success, winning many league and NCS championships.
Tennis
Since 1971, our tennis team has captured 14 league championships and one section championship. In addition, from 2002-08, our tennis team won seven straight BVAL Championships.
Track & Field
Dating back to 1976, our track and field program has won 26 league championships. Spartans have also won 13 section championships and five NCS Meet of Champions. Since 2007, the track and field program has had 15 top-10 individual finishes in the CIF State Meet, in a variety of different events.
Volleyball
Over the years, our volleyball team has earned 15 league championships and 9 North Coast Section (NCS) Championships, including a Division II championship in 2023.
